【摘要】:Testsareconductedusingstandardtestmethodstogeneratetestdatathatareusedtomakedecisionsforcommercial,technical,andscientificpurposes.Itfollowsthattheprecisionofaparticulartestmethodisanimportantqualitycharacteristicorfigureofmeritforatestmethodandadecisionprocess.Anevaluationoftheprecisionofatestmethodisnormallyconductedwith(1)someselectedgroupofmaterialsastypicallyusedwiththatmethodand(2)withagroupofvolunteerlaboratoriesthathaveexperiencewiththetestmethod.Theevaluationrepresentsaneventintimeforthetestmethodforthesematerialsandlaboratories.AnotherITPprecisionevaluationwithsomewhatdifferentmaterialsorevenwiththesamematerialswiththesamelaboratoriesatadifferenttime,maygenerateprecisionresultsthatdifferfromtheinitialITP.ExperienceasindicatedinRefs(1-4)4andelsewherehasshownthatthepoorreproducibilityamongthelaboratoriesofatypicalITPisalmostalwaysduetointerlaboratorybias.Certainlaboratoriesarealwaysloworhighcomparedtoareferenceaswellasotherlaboratoriesinalltests.ThisusualoutcomeformanyITPsisaddressedinthispracticebytheuseofthethree-steprobustanalysisproceduresasdescribedinSection7.Cautionisurgedinapplyingprecisionresultsofaparticulartestmethodtoproducttestingforconsumer-producerproductacceptance.Productacceptanceproceduresshouldbedevelopedonthebasisofprecisiondataobtainedinspecialprogramsthatarespecifictothecommercialproductsandtothelaboratoriesoftheinterestedpartiesforthistypeoftesting.1.1Thispracticecoversguidelinesforevaluatingprecisionandservesasthegoverningpracticeforinterlaboratorytestprograms(ITP)usedtoevaluateprecisionfortestmethodsasusedintherubbermanufacturingandthecarbonblackindustries.ThispracticeusesthebasiconewayanalysisofvariancecalculationalgorithmsofPracticeE691.Althoughbiasisnotevaluatedinthispractice,itisanessentialconceptinunderstandingprecisionevaluation.1.2Thispracticeappliestotestmethodsthathavetestresultsexpressedintermsofaquantitativecontinuousvariable.Althoughexceptionsmayoccur,itisingenerallimitedtotestmethodsthatarefullydevelopedandinroutineuseinanumberoflaboratories.1.3Twoprecisionevaluationmethodsaregiventhataredescribedasrobuststatisticalproceduresthatattempttoeliminateorsubstantiallydecreasetheinfluenceofoutliers.ThefirstisaGeneralPrecisionprocedureintendedforalltestmethodsintherubbermanufacturingindustry,andthesecondisaspecificvariationofthegeneralprecisionproceduredesignatedasSpecialPrecision,thatappliestocarbonblacktesting.BothoftheseproceduresusethesameuniformlevelexperimentaldesignandtheMandelhandkstatisticstoreviewtheprecisiondatabaseforpotentialoutliers.However,theyuseslightmodificationsintheprocedureforrejectingincompatibledatavaluesasoutliers.TheSpecialPrecisionprocedureisspecificastothenumberofreplicatesperdatabasecellormaterial-laboratorycombination.1.4Thispracticeisdividedintothefollowingsections:1.5Sixannexesarepresented;theseserveassupplementstothemainbodyofthispractice.aregivenmainlyasbackgroundinformationthatisimportantforafullunderstandingofprecisionevaluation.containdetailedinstructionsandproceduresneededtoperformtheoperationsascalledforinvariouspartsofthepractice.Theuseoftheseannex......
